I watched The Talented Mr. Ripley this week (yes, it took me a whole week to watch it) and three people died (among others), violently. I was like, whoa. This is not a happy Italy movie. I must next watch Roman Holiday again in order to get my fill of happy Italy movie-ness.

Anyone have some Italy movies to suggest? Jane, I've already seen A

Beautiful film, if you haven't seen it: Un Giorno Speciale. Classic.

I'll look into it... the rental place on campus has $1 foreign films on Mondays... I've seen more Italians movies than the average person, but definitely not all the favorites. Thanks!

i suggest you rent it. it's one of those happy/make you sad-type movies.
