Yes, thanks to my boyfriend's incredible parents and amazing roommate, I'm spending nearly a week at Disney World for $35 a night. We're staying at the Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. 55-hour workweeks make me tired. But I'm reading about Michelangelo now, and that makes me happy.

My boyfriend makes me happy too. I get to see him in 2 days!! That is, 2 shifts at the museum and 2 shifts at Steak n Shake. Yep, I measure time in hours of work now.

In short, I drove to Kalamazoo, MI for the International Congress on Medieval Studies with Chris. He presented a paper (a chapter of his senior thesis... about nobility in Antioch in the 11th/12th centuries) and did a smashing job, handled all the questions like a pro, quoted names, titles, and parts of Latin passages as if he had them right in ( Read more... )

I SPENT 12.5 OF MY 14 WAKING HOURS TODAY STUDYING FOR A FINAL AND EDITING A STUPID TAKEHOME FINAL. FOR THE SAME CLASS. AND I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THEM BOTH SINCE TUESDAY. THAT IS BOGUS.

Then I snapped at Chris because we can't ALL BE FUCKING BRILLIANT LIKE HIM.

GODDAMN.

I watched The Talented Mr. Ripley this week (yes, it took me a whole week to watch it) and three people died (among others), violently. I was like, whoa. This is not a happy Italy movie. I must next watch Roman Holiday again in order to get my fill of happy Italy movie-ness.

Chris is right. Each day really is better than the next, and we really do love each other more, every day we're together.

OK I'm done being sappy. Back to annotated bibliography-ing!
