badass icon is badass! i would love to write it but i honestly do not have the attention span for long fics (and this feels like a sprawling epic), at least not enough to do it justice. unless i post random, disjointed scenes every now and then

Hey! Random disjointed scenes are totally cool! Make it an epic drabbleverse. Then, when you're done, make it a drabbleverse community so other people can post drabbles/fic in the same universe. It could go into many directions. ;-)

It's also a great rp idea. (Look at http://x-journal.net/ or their wiki, the game's been running for years...)

real madrid/brotherhood vs barca/x-men is quite fitting! i was actually imagining the other team as liverpool since my fic writing is limited between them and real haha.

Wait, now I am confused. Who are the equivalent of the X-Men then, and who's coaching them? Was Mourinho supposed to be Magneto? Does that make Liverpool evil misguided? Or are things less black and white in this universe, which I would absolutely love! *g*

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your idea about Samisut having complementary powers! So Sami's powers would be like Bishop's? He could even be a cop in real life! Ooooh, yes, I would love that! :DDDDD <3 <3 so much.

Ahahaha I love this idea. Stevie/Xabi! But with superpowers! Plus all of Real Madrid! (I'm assuming if Mourinho is the boss.) Think of all the damage Sergio could do accidentally! Of course Kaka would be all moral! I will use all the exclamation marks I want! Basically I find this idea hilarious and would like very much to read it.

Also now I have it stuck in my head that Pepe and Marcelo are these huge pranksters akin to the Weasley twins (I know I'm mixing so many fandoms here). Like they have teleportation and shapeshifting or something and they find it hilarious to mess with people.

the best thing about this (besides all of them having awesome superpowers) is the stevie/xabi epic angsting will be balanced with the shenanigans the other players (read: pique, sergio, marcelo) would get up to.

sergio accidently causing copious amounts of damage will never not be funny.

i just posted something similar about marcelo and pepe in the above comment! they would definitely use their powers to annoy. haha. i can just imaging invisible!marcelo going around randomly pantsing people. and shapeshifting!pepe turning into something innocuous like a chair until someone tries to sit on him.

Hahaha! Him having wings like I suggested above could fit that, too. He would be elegant up in the air, but the equivalent of an albatross on the ground - clumsy and constantly hitting things off shelves with the huge appendages on his back. :DDD

Yes! Marcelo and Pepe would be annoying but super fun. Soooo many options. Invisibility was a great idea, too. They would kick ass in a fight, too, I am sure.

Kaka=Jean Grey Y/Y? Telepathy, telekinesis, eventually gets taken over by the Phoenix Force (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Grey) except Cris can use his powers to bring him back from the dark side *ponders possibilities*
San Iker could have the ability to create psychic shields
Messi could be shadowcat-esque with the ability to walk through walls
Pique could be able to manipulate electronic equiptment but all he uses it for is to break into Cesc's twitter account!

Psychic shields are actually a stock trick of any telekinetic, so we were thinking along the same lines! Yes, psychic shields are brilliant!

I don't think technopathy is lame. When everything around you is electronic, it is one of the most powerful powers to have!

If you want to have a technopath on board (or maybe, on both teams...), they should be an avid twitterer (e.g. Arbeloa) in RL. It would be funny.
