I'm interested in the Ansel Adams exhibit. I'm trying to plan a trip to the Washington Masonic Memorial with work friends on Saturday, Jan 26th, though.

Don't you need reservations for Restaurant Week? Last Week they filled up pretty fast, although maybe less so since it is cold out this Week.

you don't NEED reservations, but they certainly help. a lot of restaurants leave some spaces open for walk-ins, but it really does depend on the place.

winter restaurant week seems to have less participation - both on the part of restaurants themselves and patrons.

Ooooooooooh, Ansel Adams.

Also, if Les Halles is on the list for restaurant week, you should totally go check it out, if only because it's Bourdain's old gig, I know they've got a branch in DC.

should i admit i work literally right across the street from it, and have only bothered to go twice? neither for a full meal - once was breakfast, and once was for mussels. both of which were tasty but never prompted me to give it a harder look. i may have to, now...

Ha! Well, they say familiarity breeds contempt. I don't know how good it is, honestly, I've been personally meaning to give it a try if only because of Bourdain, even though I don't think he's associated with them anymore and he's mostly famous as a writer at this point. I think he resigned as executive chef after the last season of No Reservations, the new opening montage doesn't have him in the kitchen or anything from what I saw. Still though. Sadly, it isn't on the list for restaurant week.

I'd be up for Ansel. I think uilos has to get rid of her table on Satyrday morning at some unspecified time (which will, one hopes, become "specified" this evening") so afternoonish is probably better.

The Corcoran does online ticket sales! Through TicketBastard, but it'd get us in.

I'll find out tonight when the table-picker-uppers are coming by Saturday morning and let you know.
