I've decided I'm an ambivert. I love people and likes to be around them but also needs a time to hide and detox from them. I've had more than enough of 'people' over the week-end and I enjoyed it a lot but now I need some 'people' down time. My injured foot needs rest and there is really no need for me to go anywhere for a couple of days ( Read more... )

Dave has had a bit of a health scare. He went to see the doctor about hip and leg pain and came out with his high blood pressure medicine upped and also diuretic for edema around his ankles. Dave did some work from home today...and the stories for the Haunted Hayride were handed to me with the instructions of 'fix this'.  I had spent most of my time with Cody/Gary in the Haunted House and nothing to do with the Hayride...seems they really don't have a script for it and there is a long stretch where there is nothing happening. It seems most of my friends are sick...regular flu, swine flu or normal creeping crud. The weather is crappy and I don't know now big the turn out will be for the Venture week-end. Merry opens the door with his polydactayl paws. Pippin gently  bumps it open with  his forehead. Oscar just comes running at full speed and assumed the door will magically open for him....and if it doesn't he shows its who's boss! Of course he has a sore head to show for it when its all over but dammit he got in the room!

Went to church today and then just watched TV for most of the day. At 3 we had a Council Level Venture Committee Meeting. It was very profitable. Our Committee Chair, Marie (Sassie's mom) said that Venturing is the 'step child' of the Boy Scouts and she is working hard on turning that around.
