Interview with Ferox

My interview follows the description of this meme (for those annoying spelling correction fools a meme is an idea, behavior, style, or usage that spreads from person to person within a culture). The meme is as follows:
  • Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
  • I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
  • You will ( Read more... )

I believe there's something we don't know about. Some underlying current that moves the universe. By no means do I discount science or it's findings, though none of it proves the lack of something, only the possibility of a different answer.

Everyone asks this question, and I fail to even explain how I feel about it correctly to myself (if that makes any sense...), but I believe you just explained how I feel for me.

The worst thing about that, is that people are made to feel silly for believing in more than just science.
Anyone who believes in one of the big religions, is considered a fool, because somehow, and somewhen, we compromised those beliefs with the misconception that evolution disproves divinity.
On top of that, anyone following a lesser known path (Falun Dafa, Santeria, Vodun, etc.), is immediately labeled as some sort of crack pot cultist who's "trying" to be cool.

All I'm saying is that over 2 millenia of spiritual beliefs are suddenly swept under the rug. I personally like being told what to believe. Oh....shit, I'm being a sarcasm whore again.

I believe in the science aspect of creation. After studying anthropology, I can't deny the evidence. But, there are certain things that happen in life that I don't believe science can explain. Love, for example. Sure, they can say that it has to do with pheromones...but there is much more to it than that, I believe.

Does this make any sense?

Makes total sense, so stop selling yourself short :D

I find that talking about beliefs doesn't really work, because I don't think the enormity of it can be explained verbally.
