That's nice :) I have quite a few similar of the South Island, but without the railway. I was very disappointed that I didn't get to go on any trains in NZ... awesome photo though. Did you take ANY photos yourself? Also, what were those birds a couple of posts ago?
Actually, speaking of peru-similar-south-island, I learned something yesterday. Turns out Tasmania is as weird as it is (geographically) because it wasn't part of Australia (there goes my theory that it's the termination of the Great Dividing Range), in fact it joined Australia later having held on to South America and NZ and Antarctica much longer, consequently the similar climate and rain distribution, but with Australian fauna etc from when there was a land bridge. So it's not just about where it is geographically (in the Southern Ocean), it's also because it came from a generally lumpy cool temperate rainforest place. At least, That's What The Internet Says.

Come on, even if you're not going to talk about Europe, can't you at least show us dedicated readers some love and at least blog your life, your drawings, your cooking.... SOMETHING to pass the research hours for us poor sods not yet at writing stage?!
