Good luck with the non-gorging. That is something that my cat was unable to break as a habit. To this day we have to carefully meter what we give her, because she eats it all right then and there.
But yay for the kitty! Caitlin always seemed like a mellow cat, and she's been used to living with other cats (and being introduced to them), so I think it is a good sign. Maybe use some more of that Feliway to help all cats out?
And yay for the kitty finding a good home! I know you'll be a good kitty-mommy for him. ♥
Yeah, I'm a little concerned about that because Cait has never been a gorger so it's been safe to leave food out for her all day... Well, we'll have to see how it goes.
We had that problem with Misty, too, when Misty and Danettee were living together. She never gorged at all. We used to be able to leave her for a whole week when we went on vacation with enough food and water. Danettee's a little pig of a cat, but when I first got her, she was dangerously thin for a kitten.
