Bubbles and fixtures
I had an unpleasant surprise when I sanded the latest coat of lacquer this morning. Along the upper bout I exposed air bubbles that were locked into the finish.

Finishing is moving along
The finishing of the guitar is moving along. Not without a few incidents, but nothing that could not be fixed so far. From my last post "tomorrow morning" never happened because we had a 25MPH wind blowing on Sunday. Since I am limited to spraying outside, I can't spray in that weather. Yuba Mundo cargo bike
A friend of mine got a really good deal on some 3rd generation Yuba Mundo cargo bikes, because he bought a bunch of them. I got one from him. I love it. It is an amazingly stable and comfortable ride. This takes away one more excuse that I find myself using to not ride my bike for errands. This thing will carry just about anything! Pictures at last
I have done a lot of photography over the past few months, in an intentional effort to hone my skills a bit and do something that I find mentally relaxing. I have spent some days out capturing images, and some in my office, scanning and processing. I am starting to get a few images to the point that I am ready to show them to others. Solar Panel Install photos
Well, I got behind posting pictures of my solar installation project. The system has actually been up and running for 3 weeks now, and has generated 37% of power during that time.
Here are a couple more pictures from the installation. I will get a couple photos of the final system taken and uploaded this weekend.

Solar system is being installed!
The wait is over! My solar system project is under way. Photos are in my scrapbook here.
Real Goods started my solar system installation yesterday morning (Thursday). Today they are installing standoffs and support rails. They expect to complete the installation on Tuesday.
I will continue to post updates as the work progresses.

Comet!
To those who live in places with dark skies to the west, there is a comet visible for the next few nights. Barely visible to the naked eye, easy to find with binoculars, and to those who own a telescope (you know who you are) it should be pretty spectacular.
