I'm erratic but alive!

Inconstant, fitful, fluctuant, irregular - I love the thesaurus. I can't believe it's been so long since I posted. I apologize for not following up sooner on my last post; I said I'd have news "soon" but soon took a while to happen. There were a few good reasons I didn't post right away and then I think I just got superstitious about it. I'd been ( Read more... )

OMG, now THAT's a post! I'm thrilled and excited for you, honey. I just can't get over it!!!!! Do tell us more - like what happened when you quit, and what you're going to do in SF!

Whee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This calls for exclamation point abuse, shut up. Nice to hear from you. :0)

*jumps on you, gets handfuls of posh* Ah, I've missed you and so many other peeps! *kiss*

Let's see. I quit and was finished the next Friday, and then I spent a startling amount of time divesting myself of most of what I own(ed) and getting ready to move. Psychologically ready, physically ready, etc. It was pretty cool, though it was a drawn-out process in some ways. (E.g., my landlords offered to let me stay on past 10/1 rent-free *and* pay me if I'd take calls from prospective tenants and show the apartment, which I did. Which worked out well, but I got antsy toward the end. ;)

I have no idea what I'm going to do in SF. Try to find a cool apartment that won't gut my as-yet-non-existent income each month and then find a job so that there *is* income, and then try to live, etc etc. The usual. *g*

I'm so excited for you! And also in Davis -- that's about as far from SF as Petaluma (which is my hometown), just in a sort of... diagonal NE direction, near Sacramento. If you're going to be around for a while, or thinking of driving out this way, let me know! :)

I wonder once in a while where you were. Last time was only a few days ago, when your Mulder/Methos came into conversation :)

Time gets away from me - sometimes dismayingly so.

Mulder/Methos. Ngyah. I hope good things were said. I have some embarrassment issues about that story, since I had seen only about 40 minutes of Highlander at the time I wrote it. (And not much more since then.) But we all have to make our newbie mistakes, right? *g*

Oh, I wouldn't worry. I know you might find tons of faults in it because it's your creation, but I was into Highlander and I think you did a very good job. since it's from Mulder's POV it works very well for me :)

But not sugar-free chocolate, I hope. I mean, unless it's both tasty *and* good for you. *g*
