monanotlisa, a darling creature who is currently nestled to my bosom (despite her panicky struggles and unnerved cheeps, and in purely a virtual sense) has made me the icon on this post. It needs a caption, though, I think.

Hi. Not about your adorable icon, but I wonder if you're still posting. If you are, and you are flocked, I'd appreciate it if you'd consider friending me. If you are not, I hope it's because RL is treating you well and keeping you busy. To this day I think of "Throwing Shapes" as one of the fics that changed the way I think about fic, and about writing. So, thanks for that. :)

Years ago I first stumbled on this site looking for fanfic. I have never posted, only lurked. I read your entries and realized that not only did we share many of the same experiences, you, oddly, worked only blocks from my own office. I left three years ago, and have only sporadically logged on to the journal since then, but I do wonder about you - if you are ok and how your life is going since leaving and moving on... I hope all has worked out. Back in the day, this journal meant a lot to me. It would be nice to know that you are well.
