Technically, actually, I like the b/w one best. The contrasts work wonderfully. But I also love both the watercolour-with-photoshop and the purely watercolour version... The first one, that is. Despite the nice clean line-art and the very brilliant colours, the second watercolour version (the last-but-one picture) somehow... doesn't feel so alive, for lack of a better way to put it. The purely photoshopped version is very pretty, too, but I'm ridiculously fond of the texture of "real" watercolours (and real watercolour paper), so...
Thank you! Actually it's still my fondness for real watercolour paper and watercoloured art what keeps me from colouring only in photoshop. Most of the people I met in the HP fandom prefer digital art, I guess. But for me, watercolours feel much more artistic!
Thank you very much! And yes, you're right. The advantage of the digital colouring is that you can overwork your art, and so there is space and time for all details.
Die Schwarz/Weiß+Photoshop Technik will ich schon seit langem ausprobieren. Ich komm nur nie dazu^^; Die gefällt mir aber von allen Versionen irgendwie am besten (nur das man im Original nichts davon hat, außer s/w und ich bin doch so ein Sammelfreak und muss alles, was ich zeichne auch aufbewahren^^; ) Und dann folgt dicht dahinter die Pc Coloration. Alles andere wirkt (im Vergleich vor allem) nicht mehr so.... schön sind aber trotzdem alle^^;;;;
Dankeschön! Mußt du wirklich unbedingt mal ausprobieren. Macht eine Menge Spaß und ist vergleichsweise einfach. Und der Effekt ist wirklich erstaunlich.
Hey, I'm over here fromhp_fringeartI have to say out of all of them I actually like the muggle version the best. Maybe it's jsut because I'm old-fashioned and love old, traditional media or soemthing, but it just seems better that way
( ... )
Thank you very much for your long comment! ♥ It is so interesting how different people evaluate the versions. I'm really happy I did this.
Hmm, the paper must be relatively thin, I think I used 150g watercolour paper, but I'm not sure, because I only had the sheets left, and not the block.
:) Yes, all girls got beautiful and intentive dresses, and Hermione this pink barbie-thing. >.< The costume designer has been so good, with all costumes ( Voldeomorts robe, Harrys dress robe etc.) but this was terrible.
I'm glad you like my different drawings. It's interesting to see, who likes what version best... ... actually I thought you would choose a watercoloured one. So, this whole post was very interesting. :) Thank you for your comment.
