Is it really day thirteen?!?  Wow, I lost like 5 days mentally there.  So I had a run-in with strep and staff and staff infection, then a little confusion with some drugs, and a trip through the MRI (or as I like to call it, Ol' Uncle Grind and Squeeze.)  My fever came on slowly Friday, the 8th, and got as high as about 103.6 or so at about 4 in ( Read more... )

This is mostly just a note:  don't come to visit for a little while, I have a fever.  Stupid sickness.

If there is any confusion, I now have the genetics of 3 different people inside of me.  Eventually, if all goes as planned, one that isn't me will take seed in my bone marrow and a few other places and begin creating new cells within the next 2 weeks.  I will have new genetics in my blood, though my skin will stay the same -- thus, I will have two ( Read more... )

Less than a week and I'm already feeling bored.  I'm done with my chemo, I've just started radiation.  I'm not a fan of said treatment even though I can feel no side effects during and I can notice no side effects now.  It's still unnerving to know that I am being blasted with radiation.  Slowly I feel my appetite decreasing.  It's funny -- I'm not ( Read more... )

I am going in for a stem cell transplant, which should be the end-all for this treatment process. It is also, of course, the most risky of them. As most of you already know, I was diagnosed with cancer on June 9th. At this point, I find it an entertaining game to spring the knowledge on people who didn't know.
