Thank you to all who sent birthday greetings and pandas and good wishes!  I spent the actual day on Santa Catalina, taking advantage of their offer of a free ride to the island on one's natal day.  Glorious weather, the ocean, just enough to see and do, and a great escape.  Didn't get a lot of writing done, but had a marvelous time anyway.  No
