i have something to tell you about the future

'Is that so?'
'It is, but we have to see this through to the end.'

I'm going to throw these predictions out there and see how wrong I end up being. One of them is so painfully obvious that it must be true; the other is so obvious that I'll be kind of disappointed if it is.

Obvious spoiler warning for both shows:

Battlestar Galactica )

dollhouse, battlestar

I like the BSG prediction. The other one, I'm not quite sure.

My prediction for Dollhouse (more like hope, anyway) is that the actor rumored to be joining the show whom you and I particularly like will be Alpha. ;)

That is what everyone is sayinggggg, oh man, I hope it's true. Seems like all the Alan fangirls* are already acting like it is and I don't want to be disappointed!

*I am included in this group obv. :)

That's why I said "hope," not "he will be."

Also, am I the only one who got excited over Anders' brain activity last week?

That is why I also said 'hope' - see how I said that?

Yeah, you're probably not the only one. :)

Starbuck is not Daniel. Too many contradictions in the current storyline. I will however lay strong odds on Starbuck being Daniel's daughter. One copy of the Daniel's must have found it's way to Mrs. Thrace, bet you any amount of money you want.

You predict what you like, and I'll predict what I like.

I think that's exactly what just happened... ;)

I like this prediction variant too. Would make sense with her being a) a girl, but b) an artist.

interesting theories! not sure i think ballard is a former doll, but i do think lots of people around him are current dolls of some sort. (i.e., neighbor lady, russian dude, etc.) though w/ joss...ya never know. maybe they're all dolls! :)

The Russian dude definitely is. I feel like the lovelorn neighbor lady is just going to be set up as a sweet secondary character so that when the time is right Joss can murder her horribly and up the emotional stakes, like he does. But it would be interesting if she were a Doll, keeping tabs on him. Hrm.

Looks like you were right on both counts.

I'm thinking that either Lubov (the mobster guy), or the next door neighbor, who were originally cast as actives, will be revealed before the end of the season to be actives placed in Ballard's life to keep him off track. The boss lady did mention "measures were in place" or some such wording.

I think that Ballard himself is a 'measure in place', to keep the rest of the authorities off the trail of the Dollhouse because he's this crazy conspiracy theory guy.

Originally cast as actives...so the Russian guy isn't anymore? I thought I'd seen him in a photoshoot with all the actives before, and it was just the worst-kept spoiler in history that he would eventually be one.

EDIT: Whoops, too much rambling, not enough spelling.

Well yeah, exactly. I mean, they talked about 'Victor' for a year, then "nevermind! Here's Lubov!" I don't buy it. There has to be a reason why Lubov is important to the series, and I doubt it is actually the mob is how the Dollhouse gets dolls.

Okay, I'm looking for the discovery that Senor Psychopath, Mr. "Shoulder to the Wheel," wasn't found by the extraction team.

I can't quote him exactly, but he tells Echo to prove he was right in leaving her alive. That would have to make him Alpha, wouldn't it? In which case, he's not really dead. And he'll have disappeared.

That, or Alpha has learned how to imprint other people with *his* personality. Which would create all sorts of plot complication.
