Post-surgery update
Hi, folx. I'm home, and actually I've been home since the 27th of February, actually. I've just been taking it easy and recovering. My incision had staples holding it together, instead of stitches, and they've come out. Things are healing pretty nicely at this rate. Back in the hospital
So I'm back in for my hernia. This time it's in a controlled fashon.
My surgery was this afternoon, and I'm now recovering. Doctor initially looked at 2 nights in but it's now looking more like four. G'night.

Endless Ocean: Review

I love this word. I plan on using it whenever possible.
I'm also fond of the expression "unicorns shitting rainbows," although I tend to use it in more of an ironic and witty way instead of the smarmy sarcastic meaning it seems to have.

Follow-up
I'm home. Need to make an appointment with the surgeon, but I'm home. The doc on call was able to push the stuck part back into the gap, and the fever I had was mostly due to dehydration because I had purposely not had any food or liquids, speculating that I was actually going to be on the OR table tonight ( Read more... ) -

Heading into the ER to see about this hernia. It might be stuck again, and if that's true, I need to have that taken care of PDQ.
I'll be able to keep up to date here and on my twitter. Coverage in the ER itself is spotty, but if I end up staying overnight (i.e. it IS stuck), I'll likely be able to get a signal from my room. -
