Haha yeah I never knew either. Started getting into the growers markets, it's an expensive habit: basically a yogurt based cheese type thing. The label says "spicy yogurt balls" which sounds horrible.. but delicious. Think fetta-esque but creamier texture.

I STILL haven't gone to the growers markets. They are the ones on once a month, yeah? I've been meaning to go, but am always busy!

Yeah those are the main ones, there's also a lot of markets springing up around where i live though. The best one's at the park outside stanton library on miller street in north sydney. Much less fresh produce obviously but heaps of random boutique/small growers selling amazing macadamia nuts, cheeses, oils, preserves, jam.. and oh, the pastries and bread... oh so good.

NICE. I love cooking so much. Haven't been adventurous in the kitchen for quite a while, but once this fucking thesis is done, I'll be whipping up a storm! Mostly for weekends and lunches though, as I'll be working til 8 every night.

I've never had labna. Going to have to try it!

And that meal sounds incredible. I love cooking too. I'm going to miss it while I'm away!

Oh it's sooo good... at least this was. Creamy, delicious, works really well with tomato/basil etc but stronger flavour than most other soft cheeses like that.
Gotta get me to the gym though. This cooking thing can be dangerous when i get carried away.. my next thing is a pasta making night. mmmm.. satisfying..

I cooked up the bet meal last night. Even better is that it was just thrown together.

Veal strips sauteed with garlic and diced shallots, a bag of button mushrooms halved, a can of bollotti beans, four small sweet seedless mandarints sectioned, a can of peaches in its juice, dash of lemon juice, some nutmeg, cinnamon, curry powder and some cardamon seeds. Serve with rice.

SO GOOD!!!

mmm.. that sounds awesome. Been spending too much time with chefs lately, plus started working on weekends at a cafe/deli type deal locally.. it's dangerous, they encourage me to eat, what's a girl to do?? left work on saturday with the most sinfully delicious chocolate/hazelnut/meringue slice... ugh. gonna be a week of clean living for me this week, i can't afford to grow out of all my clothes dammit!!! ;-)
