Obviously I missed a lot, because that seems like a hard patch.
But it is good to have you back.
Especially the ones you love.
Because they now how to twist the knife if they plunge it in. But also because just the act of them picking up the knife is a shock, even if they only want to slice some ham.
(The knife is a metaphor. I am not sure about the ham).
I keep telling myself I need to post stuff here more, because there are so many ways in which I like LJ better than Facebook - for one, I feel like this is an actual chronicle of my life that I can look back on, whereas stuff I post on Facebook seems to be far more ephemeral, disappearing into the ether after a day or two - I know technically it's still there, but accessing past posts on there is way more difficult, plus the signal to noise ratio is a lot lower. Plus LJ just feels more intimate and less exposed. But I still find I often forget to... Got to just make more of a concerted effort, I guess.
