my man was in the thick of things downtown and said it was like a big mardi gras times fifty. took lots of pictures (i'll try to remember to post some here). we closed down early at work to watch...he called during the end of obama's speech and i heard the voice echoing from phone to computer screen inside my head.

this country hasn't heard anything like that in generations.

i'm in awe.

today in Chicago and probably everywhere, a new feeling of energy and hope is pulsing. at least, it feels this way to me.
