In Which Our Household is Diminished Greatly

It's been a tough, tough summer at the Bunce homestead. Dealing with this impossible heat, a few scary veterinary crises, vacation plans abruptly abandoned... We'd really love to leave this one off the books, if we could.

Back in June (just a couple days after my last post), our eleven-year-old coonhound mix Gracie Pigeon got pneumonia--

I'm so sorry about your dog! What a strange, scary disease. Both of your dogs sort of look like the dog I grew up with who was basically a person (she was a collie/shepherd cross, but they have a similar expression). I've been hoping you're okay--I figured something big must be up, since you suddenly disappeared. Glad you're back, and hugs on your dog loss.
