There are many things that suck about being diabetic and I’m sure you’re all aware of most of them, including things like heart disease, gangrene, chopped off limbs, blindness, etc

but I found it pretty interesting. My brother-in-law, you and a couple other friends of mine have diabetes, but of course you can only know what these things are like when you're living with them. Your grumpiness under these circumstances is of course excused.

I was going to send you a link to it, too. Thought it would be heartening to read about a 90-year-old and an 86-year-old who've made it to their advanced ages in pretty darn good shape despite Type I diabetes. ... Kathy.

these are the diabetics that scare me. freakin over-achievers. but yeah, good for them! at least I've never passed out from low bloodsugar. That must mean something....
my b.s.es are pretty much stabilized today... though there was again some carb-loading after a bit of extracurricular activity in the new home last night.

Which explains a loittle more why I don't understand diabetes all the way. like, for instance, if your blood sugar's always dropping, how come you're so darn sweet most of the time.
the blood sugars have evened out, luckily. we miss you guys too! we were just talking about the s.b. selling off all of his CDs for his pedal steel last night at a barbecue.
the new house is super radtacular, by the way. come and visit!
in the meantime, can you write an article for kitchen sink for my section? xoxo elka
