So I officially have a vacation planned. I'm going to see my grandmother & aunt in NJ for a week in June. I worked out all the details with my boss & coworkers, and I bought plane tickets this afternoon. I'm so excited. It'll be so relaxing to get away from everything for a whole week. I'll be a better, nicer person when I come back refreshed.

So Mom watched this show that said that tires older than 5 years should be replaced. Evidently they can blow out or fail spontaneously, which is never good. Dad checked mine, and they are (I believe) 6 years old. He also said that they have some dry rot and cracks. He and Mom are all gung-ho for me to get them replaced. Work was insane tonight. Mel, our part-timer, called in & said she couldn't come in, and since Tracy was out of town, it was just Brian and I. James, the sweet older dude who used to do bar back, came in for a while to help us out busing tables & such, but still, it was more than 2 people could handle. I've placed several orders over the last week, so I felt like doing a haul entry on them. Most of the orders were for cosmetic-type stuff, but I did order some clothes from JC Penney. has been strange. I'm the back half of a 6-day week. Surprisingly, it hasn't been as stressful as I thought it would be. Last night and tonight we were closed for private parties.
