Worst cat mom ever

Henry is in a terrible mood. We were all cuddling together and she turned around and snake bit me, then attacked Stripey a few minutes later. Now she's sleeping on the other couch. I think I missed some big cues, but what? Can cats glare? I think she's glaring at me. :(

Yeah, cats do that.

It wasn't a great night. But she seemed much more cheerful this morning. I think she's just been bored. I'll be wearing her out as much as possible this weekend. And I'm looking into getting a cat tree.

It's also important to remember that, sometimes, there's nothing particular we can do to prevent our kitty friends from being annoying. It's part of living with a cat. Sometimes, sure, we can distract them, wear them out, entertain them -- and sometimes, even if we're doing all that, they're just going to decide that they want to wrassle with their siblings - whether siblings want to or not, push things off of things, yowl at two in the morning, and just generally be pains in the butt. Because, even if we are entertaining them, they'll just decide that "being a pain in the butt" is more fun right now.

Sure, a bored and non-exercised cat is going to do that a lot more, but even the BEST cat parent is going to deal with a pain-in-the-butt cat occasionally.

She's usually pretty sweet and good-natured but last night she was definitely in a Mood.

I'm out of wet food - which I feed the cats in the morning. I have plenty of dry, so they're not starving. However, the cats are staring at me right now. I'd even say they're glaring. It makes me feel like a terrible cat parent.

Cats can totally glare. They also can sulk, and pout, and a bunch of other things.

Sorry she was in a mood. It sounds like you're on the right track, getting her a cat tree.
