Oh wow, this is lovely and sweet and intimate. I love the idea that he shared the place he would've escaped to in his mind. I like the reason you had him go out there with the house like a tomb but outside looking at the stars he could hear the hum of the world. And I really liked what you put about how on another night she might have gotten a different answer from him because he doesn't even know what to expect from himself sometimes. That rung very true to Peter's character for me.
Really adored this moment. A fitting end to the episode that I will be making part of my personal canon. :)
Ah. This was so... sensual, I guess is the word. There's so much texture here in Peter's description, and I almost wonder how much of it might be a product of his mother's storytelling with Peter filling in the blanks from that time period he barely remembers with memories of his search for mermaids. Really nice. :)
Thank you! The idea of Peter's memories, and how they would have been shaped was really interesting to me. There was a lot of "Subject 13" that seemed to tie in to that idea, and how they were not just his but what he was told, that seemed to really contrast with the specific memories Olivia had.
