And some of us skip romantic love and make relationship decisions based on logic and reason.

Maybe this is why I don't really understand it when other people refuse to get "romatically" involved with a friend? Maybe this is why I don't understand it when people get involved with others who are clearly incompatible?

I agree that romantic love is not a long lasting every day occurence. Let's face it, it's a lot of work! I sound old, but when it comes to love, I think I am old. I've been married to the same person for 33 years. Yes I love him dearly, even though he annoys the hell out of me at least once a week.

I sometimes am not so sure if I am fortunate or just a very hard worker at life!
Not to say we have not had our ups and downs, and times when one of us was probably more dedicated to the cause than the other, but over all, regardless of problems, we have always been friends. Marriage is not a walk in the park.. as you well know having entered into it not once but twice.

Yes, I learned a great deal from the time spent with my "Practice Wife". (22 years - I'm a slow learner. ;) I learned what is important in life and relationships, and where to put the time and energy.

And as you say Nanc, its not a walk in the park...but its more than worth the effort.

A dinosaur, a beer dispensing device, and a gorilla? What, no secret agent?

Say, are you still looking for assistance at Frolicon? (If so, I'd better sharpen my toenail clippers.)
