The device of the numbers and counting is very well-used!

One picky note - it's "bated" breath, like "abated," even though a lot of people mistake it for "baited" breath, like there's a piece of cheese in there :)

So glad your baby is healthy and strong!

Oh dagnabbit, thanks for letting me know about bated/baited, forgot to check up on that one. I fixed it.

And thank you so much!! Me too. :)

I'm thinking I might have also made that same mistake in the past... it's so easy to just type the wrong thing without thinking about it... I've sometimes reread over things, and found that what I actually said, accidentally using homonyms that my brain missed, was a lot funnier than I meant to be. (Though whipchick's cheese on the breath image is pretty amusing! ;) This took a scary twist, but I'm glad it all worked out, and that you are so filled with love. mamas_minion and I are trying to get pregnant, so I found it especially sweet, topically, and then actually gasped out loud at the end of the 4th stanza. My husband is sitting in bed with me, and when he asked me what was wrong, I read it to him... we were both so glad to be able to breathe a sigh of relief in the end! :)

Aw thank you, for taking the emotional rollercoaster journey along with me. It was a ridiculously stressful and traumatic time that affected me immensely. But so happy he's safe and healthy and well enough to drive me batty haha! I love this kid.

BEST OF LUCK trying to conceive!!! I'm hoping to, too. Crossing my fingers for a sibling for Homer!

A mother's love so pure ... You have done well to bring it out so beautifully.

Loved the poem and so glad your baby is fine and healthy to create stories instead of solving un-understandable mysteries :)
