Natasha Richardson died today. This makes me sad, I really liked her.

All I want is a shamrock shake for St Patrick's Day. Yet all the McDonald's near my house are out of shamrock shake. I am not amused.

Edit. John found me a shamrock shake. He was my hero, at least for a few minutes last night.

I made a chocolate swirl cheesecake last night. Then this morning I remembered that we are already having cake at work today. So I am trying to decide if I should take it or not. If I don't take it today, John will get into it and I won't be able to take it to work at all. Maybe I will leave it home since I generally take everything to work.

While I do LOVE the snow and am perfectly ok with it snowing. I am supposed to meet Lettie for lunch today, so I would have preferred that it had held off until this evening. Hopefully it stays lite enough that we can still do lunch. As I am watching the weather, they start talking about the wind storm we will have this afternoon.

I have finished 2 of the dish towels for mothers store. One is already on display. Hopefully I can finish the 3rd tomorrow so I can start working on Lettie's afghan and practicing my knitting. I think I know which afghan I am going to make for John's mom. It is a cabled afghan in Crochet Today magazine. It is the issue my favorite scarf pattern is ( Read more... )

I have told John a number of times that it is very important to me that he meet my grandparents. We talked about it the other night and have just decided to do it. SO now, I am hoping to find some good ticket prices, so we can go for a long weekend. If I time it right, I can work 2 weeks of 4 10's. I went and got bagels today. I have been wanting bagels lately. So I decided I would get them today. I also got me a turkey bagel sandwich. Next time I go I will get a free regular sandwich, I still have to buy 1 more breakfast sandwich to get a free one of those, and I also get my next 1/2 dozen bagels free.
