Sent out my Xmas wish list to the fam yesterday. For some years now I've been telling everyone exactly what I want. It's not just me, Eileen started the practice. I've played the DS a little - and actually enjoy it far more then I thought I was going to. I definately think it needs to go through another revision - but I've seriously considered getting one. I have a Silver GBA modded with a back light, and that works perfect for all my GBA games - as well as having the adapter for my gamecube... so the fact that I'm even considering getting one is actually suprising to myself.

That all said, you definately have to mess with the controls to get the right feel. Hopefully they'll change the layout a bit sometime soon... as Nintendo seems to be fully behind doing 6 month revisions on their products these days.

I'll look at the DS again as an option when the games I might want for it are out, like Namco's Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos RPGs. A good hardware rev might be to put all the gimmicky stuff in a detachable part that the user can leave at home to make the unit smaller and lighter. Stuff like the microphone and stylus holder.

I've got Mark's GBA SP in my hands right now, and I'm digging the form factor. A little thick when folded, but still pocket-friendly.
