Thanks. First time in a long time that I haven't gritted my teeth in frustration as I wrote.

I loved the idea of Ben being John's kid, and then becoming a fireman and saving middle-aged Dean. Although that degree of coincidence is unlikely, I grant you *g*

This is so awesome. I cannot say. Ben is Johns kid! I love it! Bens a hero! I love that too! Dean isnt listening and does his back in! So Dean! You rock! You are my hero! Can I use any more exclamation points!

So yeah. I kinda like it ;)

Thank you! I LOVE the idea that he might be John's. And I love Dean and Sam, all middle aged and aching and still saving people and hunting things. With their little brother *g*

I cannot tell you how that has just made my day: it was just the thing I needed. Except --18 years in the future would make Dean my age. (Gawd, I feel old.)

OMG -- I died when I read "Gentle" -- I KNEW it was him. How funny! And then, Ben Casey! Jeez -- crack me up!

Seriously, don't *ever* doubt yourself with your writing.

Dude. I wondered who would get the Gentle Ben thing. Showing our age *g* And yeah, Ben Casey. I can only apologize.

I wrote Wesley at age 60, so Dean at 45 is nothing. *g* Thank you for your encouragement, it keeps me writing when all else fails.

My son read it (I laughed so hard in a couple of place he "was distracted from his studying"). He got the Gentle Ben reference (how, I do not know), but didn't get the Casey one. Which led me to the joyous task of annoying all by wandering around the house, muttering "Paging Dr. Casey. Paging Dr. Ben Casey" all day.

The Wesley one -- with a bad hip, yes?
