Once again I have failed at spn_halloween. I started my story, but it refused to be written. I'm hoping that it might be finished by next Halloween. I'm so very, very sorry

Nicely done! Great peek at the boys 18 years down the road. I love how even with the wear and tear that the 40s brings, they’re still out there hunting. And what a nifty twist about Ben’s paternity! I totally didn’t see it coming.

Thanks! Ben as John's kid was an idea I had during the ep, so it was a matter of how I was going to write it. Initially I was going to tell John and Lisa's story, but then I thought of Dean with a slipped disc, and it was too much to resist. *g*

I was a little worried about Dean's reaction initially - the thought of him and John sharing a partner was a little off-putting, but then I went for the brain bleach line and some good old-fashioned denial, and it was all okay again *g*

I worried also that the last line was too sappy, but then I remembered it was Sammy, so it was okay for him to be a great big sap. *g*

OMG, your fics always grab a hold of my heart and won't let go! JOHN and Lisa? I wasn't expecting that at all, but it fits wonderfully, and the way you described Ben just made me ache. Because, yeah, I kinda have a thing for heroes, too. Loved it; thanks so much for sharing! :)

Ben is such a wee sweetie in this, and yeah, if he's John's kid, of course he'll be a hero.
