I started writing this piece last week, exploring the idea of obstinate!wee!Sammy a little more, but had to stop as both girlies and myself fell ill with the dreaded stomach bug lurgy. The little one is finally coming around now, but man, three sick people in one house is not fun ( Read more... )

Thanks. I do love John in this. He's just such a parent. *g*

Hahahahahahahaha.

I'm finding your Sammy-violently-rejects-food fics hysterical and adorable. Which means I must be repressing what it was actually like to live with a four-years-younger brother who was one hell of a picky eater. (And is now significantly taller than me. Oh, Dean: I feel your pain.)

Thanks. I have to say, with the stomach bug we had this week, I didn't have to do much imagining with the vomit scene. *sigh* I just love the idea of wee Sam asserting his independence early.

Okay, this was entirely too cute! I burst out laughing big time at this:

“Yeah, sure is tasty; right, Dean?”

“Yeah.” Dean nods uncertainly, a guarded expression on his face. The five-year-old is eyeing him apprehensively, waiting for the other shoe to drop.

OMG - that is hilarious - you just know what John's going to do! Poor Dean! Ha!

And this also made me LMAO:

Dean moves his chair back, sensing Sammy’s next move

I could just picture the look on Dean's face and I died laughing especially when John didn't move himself out of the way. Hilarious!

You captured this age so well and really made me grin. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks. I wanted John to see the differences in the boys, the way Dean defers to him, and the way Sammy, even as a baby, has his own way. Also, I wanted John to get puked on, as it's a law of parenthood that your kid pukes on you. John got off lightly, that's all I'm saying. *g*

Boo hiss! at the stomach lurgy. Poor thing, hope you're feeling bit more steady soon and the household returns to calmer scenes *hugs*

Ah, baby. I'm so glad it's over. I have decided that I'm never eating food again. It's been three days, and I have no desire to ingest anything other than liquids.

I can count the ribs from the back and the front. *falls over*
