I'm alive. It's been a month since I've posted, although I've been trying to keep up with reading my flist. I can't remember a time when work has been so unrelentingly frantic. But I'm off work now for a week or so, and I managed to finish my long-overdue Sweet Charity fic.

You are back to breakin' my heart. Sam at Dean's bedside, vigilant and watchful. And the ending with Stairway...again with the heart breaking.

I am glad it did not go down like this, except that Dean sleeping peacefully is better than burning in hell.

Thank you. I kept going back to the final moments of 3.10, and thinking, what if Dean didn't actually wake up? What if Sam spends his days dreamwalking, trying to find a way to get Dean out of the dream.

Poor guys.

Darn. I poked this quite a bit, tried to drop hints through the first section, but I did worry it wasn't clear. Sam's dreamwalking in the motel sequence - trying to wake Dean up.

I loved the idea of Dean never waking up at the end of 3.10 - everything that comes after is just a dream. Sam and Bobby brought Dean to hospital and they've been trying to wake him up since then.
