Updating LiveJournal seems rather futile nowadays since it seems most have migrated over to Facebook, Twitter or other somesuch sites. If you are one of these people and have an account you add semi-strangers to, send me a link and I'll find you ( Read more... )

Heeyyy!!! I admit I am on twitter alot--but with a closed list of peeps I also communicate with here on LJ and email. LOl we do have conversations--Nick and a friend of ours even write twitter-fic (which is very silly). I enjoy following people like Darren hayes (he is just sooo awesome, seriously). Kept track of Leafy_ while she was so sick with teh swine flu, and follow other things that are amusing. :)

So if you ever decide to try it out... It definitely works best and is most fun with a group of people you already know.

As for facebook, I only play farmville on there, and in a hidden facebook. Tee hee. I do not want Others to know where I am!!!

I'm out of habit here mostly because I've been too busy! But, I am about to write a post--I swear! :)

Hi there! Wow, Twitter-fic?! I'd imagine it to be an agonizingly slow process. ;) I don't know, I just don't feel Twitter would suit my (excessively verbose) way of communicating. Who knows? I swore not to join Facebook, and now spend a good portion of my day on there! (So sad. ;))

Look forward to your post, whenever you decide to write one!

I agree with a lot of what you're saying. LJ still seems much more content rich than any of the other forums I'm on but I think that's part of why I've been awol for so long - it takes so much more effort to put something thoughtful up than to do the 'stream of consciousness' that is facebook and twitter!

Glad to hear things are going well in your life. Maybe we'll all have a flurry of activity on LJ soon.

That's true as well. I occasionally click on "Post" here on LiveJournal, then either stare at the empty screen or ramble pointlessly for a while before deleting the whole thing. It seems the longer I go without updating, the more pressure I feel to write something other than "Went to work today. Had a sandwich." So, I end up waiting a month and then making a pointless post, ha.

Hope everything is well in your corner of the world! I'm getting quite frustrated with the underfunding and underachieving in the museum world (well, more like at the museum I'm at) - I hope you're feeling more optimistic! (This is not me complaining for myself. I'm very happy to have bagged an internship. It's just that there are so many things that could be done better if the money and energy was there. Such is life.)

Everyone does indeed seem to have moved on from LJ. Was a wonderful phase while it lasted. :)
I'm on Facebook. I do lots of apps when I have time, lol.
