Eh, I tell them outright that I won't police what they say when they're on their own time, in their own homes, or cars, or whatever, but in my home or in my car? Don't do it. Especially don't call something gay, to my lesbian sister, then when she's offended, say "well I have gay friends who say that's okay." Apparently they don't speak for ALL gay people, huh? Don't fucking offend someone in their own home and then try to defend it. It's a fast track to making yourself very unwelcome.
