Possibly the wrong crowd to ask but...

Can anyone explain to me the appeal of a running skirt? I just don't get it. How is a skirt better than shorts? Who does this appeal to? Its just that anytime I send an email about running, Google shows me an add for them and I just...don't get it.

I have one. I thought it was cute, so I bought it. I have a lot, a lot of running gear, though.

Well, that is reasonable enough. I will admit that when I was in middle school I actually started playing field hockey because of the skirt. My Dad never let me wear short skirts so it was kind of intriguing to me. I think I would feel silly running in a skirt now though. Plus, my running gear already takes up far too much of my closet (and yet, I recognize this urge to buy more 'cause it is cute.) I have bought sports bras because they are cute, which seems really silly to me now because I'm really the only one who sees them.
