Ha, oh Phil. I know your brother's connection heightens your interest. And it's udnerstandable. But my friend's list was just becoming this long, heavy moan, and I wanted to break away. Nothing personal, my man. I'll be back to regular reading next week when, hopefully, it won't be quite as dire.
By the way, how was the Smoking Slam? I would've come up and maybe even lit up for old-times sake, but I'm (irony, har har) recovering from allergies leaving me with a cough.
Not too shabby. We allowed cigarettes as a prop, but few people took up the offer. But yeah, good crowd, some smokey tunes from the DJ, a few smoke-related poems, including one great one in the open mic, and a haiku slamoff between Shannon, Tim McClure (slam movie dude), and Ann Elizabeth Wynn (mayor's wife). Sorry ya missed it 'cause there will be no more smoking in Austin forever and ever amen.

Can't take the devastation in your cush little Austin world? Or are you just bitter because there are bigger problems than not smoking in a bar?
