Sad Day

May 09, 2006 23:00

Really shocked and upset about the death of Gary Cook. I was only talking to him last week. Special, gentle, lovely person who will be missed. He was a very creative man...poet, musician and warm, outragous and uniquely sensitive person who's smile was legendary. He also get's my vote for Best Goth Hair in Barrow for the 80's and most of the ( Read more... )

I guess we are all feeling shocked and sad today. He was a special person. I always remember his remakably pointy boots and big hair. Another good person from the elder goth clan who will be missed very much around here. Hugs xx

David took most of the pics that I sent you. He always has a camera with him. I'm not sure why my computer won't receive your emails. It's been acting up a bit lately so it might just be due to it's unpredictable temperament. Feeling okay today. Been busy doing stuff with Ethan all day and have my friend Ann staying tonight. She had a bit of an accident and has concussion. She's okay but the hospital didn't want her to be in her flat on her own. So we've been eating pasta, listening to Nick Cave's Murder Ballads, playing guitar and chatting about books....a very nice evening. No alchohol either as it didn't seem very responsible to ply someone with a head injury with drink LOL. Talk to you soon. x

Yes, it is that Ann....and she's fine (apart from the black eye and gash on the side of her head) but it was just a precaution. Concussion can be weird, as you will no doubt remember me putting David in a taxi to the hospital after his last cycling accident thinking he was pretty lucid....only to get a call from A and E as he'd got to the hospital and didn't know how he'd got there or what had happened to him! I still have a guilty feeling every time I think about it LOL
Been busy this week but am planning a fairly quiet weekend. We've got people (Gray Hamm, mad performance poet from Manchester) staying next weekend and the week after Andrea so I thought I'd better rest up a bit (and tidy up a bit LOL) before a couple of hectic weeks. I'll ring you soon. Glad you had a good time with your brother.xxx
