Having an anti-healthcare reform (as it now stands) person who is close to me, it's refreshing for me to read this beautifully and succinctly put argument.
You know why else I support universal health care? Unlike these self-styled patriots equating health-care reform with both socialism and Nazism, I see guaranteed health care for all Americans as integral to our country's founding principle of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Taking a job that offers affordable health insurance over pursuing work that satisfies your interests and passions is common place here. Guaranteed health care not tied to employment would be blissfully liberating.
