Loved this chapter. I'm a huge sucker for "Group as literal Family" so this was really good. Especially the Shirley part. I thought it was really touching.

Jeff and Britta can call themselves the mom and dad all they want but Shirley is the group mom more that Britta can ever be. You captured that so well.

And way to play with my EMOTIONS by making me think that Jeff was at Brita's apartment and not already on the plane LIKE I KNOW HE IS!

And now I know what it's like to be on the opposite end of a cliffhanger. Damn. You need to hurry up and update, like, yesterday!

Ha! Two can play at this game baby! I have never really understood the 'Jeff & Britta are parents' thing because Britta doesn't act like a mom and Jeff only acts like a parent around Annie and Pierce.

Someone unthread just stated like it had been completely explained that Troy was at Britta's. Won't they be surprised when it turns out to be Duncan! And I don't actually have control of the space/time continuum, but I Promise to update right after you do ( see what I did there?).

Yay, an update (I totally should be studying but like hell I'll wait to read it,lol)

Love Annie's inner monologue and conversations with both Shirley and Britta, it is true that the relationship between women in this group is a bit strained (like in a real family,lol) but they genuinely care about each other and that always comes first and you capture it well.

Lol, is Troy in Britta's apartment and this is why she was shifty? *gg* Or was Jeff there to tell Britta about everything and ask her advice? I'm dying to know.

That feeling of hopelessness, the one she recognized as the moment before she was supposed to take another Adderall, enveloped her.

I totally love Annie, even when she is driving me crazy. I so want her to grow a backbone and make him suffer and actually tried to do that but rewrote a big section when it just didn't work. Annie puts herself in vulnerable positions and then is hurt when things don't work out perfectly. Some people tend to think that she's manipulative, but I have a friend who is very Annie and it isn't manipulation, it is just being open with your emotions and allowing others to be affected by it. You guys are really getting your shackles up about Jeff. It's almost like he has disappointed people in the past.

OT: Can you believe Brennan on Bones?! I knew it was coming and was still shocked.

Yes, this, I guess we are all like Shirley in Home Economics, trying to teach Annie to do the sensible thing but it just kind of goes against her Annie-nature, she wears her heart on her sleeve, that's a part of her charm.

That sounds teeny tiny bit like manipulation, but of course she doesn't do it on purpose most of the time, but she has that potential, like Jeff said she's becoming dangerous, when she knows how to use her doe yes to her advantage *gg* One of the reasons I think Jeff and Annie are similar deep down is that they are both natural manipulators, Britta is terrible at it,lol, but Jeff and Annie are able to play other people like a fiddle, it's just Annie doesn't always realize her power but she's always had more power over him than he did her, I love that out of everyone he has the least control over her and she surprises him every damn time*gg*
