This was adorable :). That's my favorite scene in the montage, as well, because it seems much less as though she's possibly reading too much into it (Not that I think she was, at all), as with, say, the heimlich clip or the one where he keeps her from stepping in dog poo, lol. But in this one, they're just looking at each other and smiling, and I love the whole scenario you built up around that.

That montage really did make it seem like Annie was reading into things ( Jeff is a jerk, but he probably would have kept Shirley from stepping in horse shit too), but the jumprope moment really did seem like a genuine 'moment'.

Thanks for reading!

Haha, yeah, I agree completely. I mean, it's a comedy, so they intentionally made funny scenes, but what I meant about not thinking she was reading into things wasn't that keeping her from stepping in horse shit was an overly romantic gesture, but just that she wasn't fabricating something between them, in general.

LOVED this. And I was expecting more Jeff/Britta from your warning, so the way it was presented in this fic really worked for me.

I don't know how you manage to churn out so much amazing fic, but I'm grateful for it. In fact, there's been a wealth of great fic recently, which is a trend I hope will continue.

It felt like a ton of J/B to me, because I never write that dynamic between them. I just wanted to warn people so they weren't completely thrown by their inclusion. I generally don't sleep much because my brain won't shut off. Sometimes it's annoying, but I've just got a lot of ideas for stories right now and need something to give me a rest from the Italy thing.

Thank you SO much for always reading and commenting!

How much do I love this fic? Uh, probably more than I can express in words. But let me attempt:

It is awesome.

Seriously. You got Jeff's voice (and his train of thought) perfect when it comes to Annie. I love how in the beginning he could predict exactly what little things she'd do to get his attention. I also love that it bugged Jeff that Annie asked everyone and him last - it's so a Jeff pride issue there.

Oh, and this? “Well, see if you can keep your tongue out of her mouth this time,” she conde-smugs toward him and Jeff clenches his jaw. Such a good Britta line.

I love that they hugged because I LOVE J/A hugs. She's so short and he's so tall that they are just adorable.

All in all - perfect. :)

Wow, thank you! I get nervous about Jeff's voice (what with being a girl) so it's nice to hear it seems accurate. Also, your icon totally wins. They're so cute! Aww.

Thanks for reading!
