I am enjoying the phone thing too and I like the idea that it's Jeff talking to them and not Annie, who it would seem would be more the one to be calling home.

What I would like to see is dueling pianos with Pierce and Duncan. That would be fantastic!

Gahhhhhhhhh I have no words to express how much I love this chapter, I just love everything about it, I love how Jeff realized that he wanted Annie and that he wanted to tell her everything about his past ♥
His vulnerability was palpable and I love that Annie was able to break down his insecurities, that whole scene, his reaction and THE KISS were so beautifully written ... wow ... just wow ♥
Ohhh and I totally suspected that Troy was with Britta, I ship them and I also ship Sergio/Rich, they are too cute for words !
To sum up, I love this story, this chapter, your writing ... Thank you ♥

Yay! I'm so happy you liked this. Jeff is getting it slowly. I mean, he's doing things kind of bass ackwards, but he's doing it at least.

I love me some Troy/Britta, but I had kind of not talked about what was going on with Britta dating someone, so I hoped people remembered that she was dating SOMEONE.

Yay !!! Thank you but I'm sure a lot of people like them too, they just don't want to admit it ! lol

I was wondering ... How old is Jeff supposed to be ? I thought he was 33/34 (since he was 19 in 1997 when he did his audition tape for MTV's The Real World *lol poor Jeff*) but these lines made me think he was older :

"It wasn’t the worst thing he’d ever done, trying to get to second base with a woman who was born the same year he got his driver’s license."

“I’ve been dating for as long as she’s been alive,”

The problem is the writers keep changing his age. In the first season, the high school kid says that if he ends up 35 and celebrating a B yadda yadda yadda. And then this season, one episode Jeff's license says he's 40. And like 2 episodes later, he's suddenly like 32. But I have a theory that script wise he was originally auditioning for an earlier season of Real World and they changed it to Seattle because it was funnier and because JM is from Seattle. His outfit and that George Michael song both point to 92ish instead of 97. Even if Jeff was a dork, he wouldn't be that far from the pack. So I have split the difference and figured he was 36 or 37.
