“Come along inside… We’ll see if tea and buns can make the world a better place.”

Welcome! It's not snowing outside, but neither is it raining, and it's crisp and cold out there, which makes it a perfect time for a tea party. (Although any time is Tea Time, really.)

That's very similar to our Swedish Coffee Bread recipe, which we are enjoying this morning (with coffee, naturally)

This makes my morning oatmeal seem so dull!

Both recipes sound scrumptious. Perhaps I have a new bread to try for Christmas morning? Yum.

This sounds divine. I usually go for soda bread in the mornings, but this could be a fine way to start the day!

This is so awesome! I wish I was more into baking. I became a good tea fiend when we were in NZ so I'm spoiled now for sub par tea (which inevitably is what I end up making).

I wish I had more time for baking! (And more people with whom to share it - it's one of the reasons I love the holidays, as an excuse to bake and give it away. Hee.)

I know what you mean about being spoiled - I do at least try not to get tea anywhere where they simply use hot water instead of boiling a kettle...

I'm so glad to have more icon space now - there's no such thing as too many tea icons (just like books!)...

I use Dairyland Coffee Cream - as you can see, it's called simply Coffee Cream. It's made with 18% milk fat, so I would think that any kind of milk with 18% fat could be substituted!

And Teamas should be a recognized holiday, shouldn't it?

Simpatico icons!

I think Al would support Teamas. In private, of course.

Since it's Saint Lucia day, I'll offer up something appropriate it. It's a big tradition in Sweden, somewhat less so in Denmark, but one that is definitely well known here as well. These aren't actually my recipes, I'm not that much of a baker, so I've lifted them and the pictures from various websites, which also saves me the bother of having to translate them. Much more about Saint Lucia's day here

(I just saw that someone beat me to this, but I'm including it anyway)
Saint Lucia's braided bread

Ooooo - these look so delicious. I'm intrigued by the saffron buns - I may try these in the coming weeks!
