Yeah-back when he was actually attractive. Looking at him now it's hard to believe he was ever Han Solo(who is basically one of the hottest and quite possibly one of the most classic characters ever created).
I should also have added D.H. Lawrence's short story, "The Horse Dealer's Daughter", which is very odd and restrained but I've always really loved it. You probably read it in school. ^ ^
Wasn't Witness so fabulous? (Erm, Viggo wasn't in his prime, though.) But it was a more contemporary film filled with restrained passion, and it was hard to think of contemporary settings and restrained passion; period pieces seem to have a monopoly on it.
I've never read that Lawrence short story. Tsk. Now I'll track it down. I like his longer works, so chances are good that I'll enjoy. Thanks!

I never read The Bronze Horseman, but have seen many good reviews for it.
What great suggestions - thanks so much!

I sometimes think that Sharpe could even make the dead feel better!
(Also, you'll note that there is a Harrison Ford movie there. Sigh. Back when he was, you know, not a known jerk.)

And, as per your icon, so does Snape! Hee.
I've added it. Can't believe I neglected to include it - definitely passionate!

Yes - Boromir should be on this list! Will add him. That's another film with unexpected passion (like Master and Commander).
