Really, they're both. Both should be an option.

Also, it should be noted, a pain in the arse to wear if you don't get the good sort that have a bit of covering over where your toes goes. Having your toes all sticking out through the net is very unsexy indeed.

That is all.

I wear fishnets, even fencenets, without toe issues. You just have teeny feet.

Context, definately. If I wear blue fishnets as part of my supergirl outfit it's not sexy or trashy, it's just silly.

I had a phase of caring about matching, but now it's just a work thing. At any other time, who's to say pink sheep briefs don't go with a khaki bra?

And anything but tights, but I think my bias is known there.

Fishnets are all about context, IMO ... worn with knee boots and a pleather mini they're trashy, but the spendy cobwebby ones with a cocktail frock can be sexy.

I'm a tights girl, though ... 70 denier black opaques.

Fishnets is all about where and when you wear them, and in my opinion, how tight the weave is. I've seen quite a few pairs of very nicely done 'nets mixed with some nice skirts and enjoyed the outcome. :)

They're also good when paired with tuxedo shorts/some kind of fancy top, like a magician female would wear, but in that case, it's heading towards 'showgirl', which is heading towards 'trashy'....

Either way, I don't mind, they're delicious to look at. ;)

As far as "Something I havn't listed" goes, you forgot bikinis, string bikinis, and my favorite : the low rise hi-cuts, which aren't at all like briefs. :)

For the sake of simplicity in poll options, I'd have classed all those as briefs, personally. The only reason boy-cut got their own option was because they're technically shorts; otherwise it was just going to be things or briefs.

Thongs, even.

I've been living with the thought that tights and stockings are the same thing. What's the difference?

Tights are all in one and stockings are two separate leg bits worn with a suspender belt, in my world of definitions.

I feel like an important part of my education has been neglected! What you call tights I've always called stockings (ie. "It's cold out...I'll wear stockings under my school skirt today"), and tights are basically leggings (eg. fluoro monstrosities from the 80s).

There is a huge difference between tights and stcking/hold-ups. Namely, tights are icky. Gusset-free zone.

I only have two pairs of pants which match a bra, so that's a very rare occasion. There are people who match every day? Gosh.

Fishnet recommendations: Boots. £5 each, but they're three for the price of two. And they're proper elasticky and tough. Hurray for Boots!
