I went impulse shopping in the travel agency and came out with a weekend trip to the Republic of China. Greetings from Taipei! Look at all those Japanese cars driving on the right-hand side of the road: it could almost be South Carolina. Just wait until you have to get a whole new passport. They are totally stupid looking now. On the other hand, I LOVE the ROC visa stamp. It's one of the few stamps adorning my shiny new passport and I think it's just adorable.

You know, I want to say the 7-11 I used to frequent in the San Fernando Valley had Diet Coke slurpees. However, it's been 15 years since I went there so I can't really prove it. I think the one I'm thinking of actually closed and became a frozen yogurt place.

You were probably right to observe the invisible "do not disturb" sign I was wearing. I have been known to dole out a bitchface or two, especially when melting ice cream is involved.

I love that you can get Coke slurpees all the way over there and yet for a while I had to get a divining rod to find one in the US.

i hate the new passports! even worse than the pictures that supposedly "represent" America is the picture of outer space on the inside of the back cover...
