Until today, my spiritual and philosophical ponderings had led me to think that everything in the universe is connected and we are all part of the same thing.

Today it's: Same shit, different bucket.

I think I have now clocked back to being an athiest. Philosophical? Yes. Spiritual? No.

Aww what happened? Really the only spirituality I have is wiccanism. And this is only because it's so deep rooted with nature, and applying the laws of nature to that of human nature. It deals with balance in all aspects of life. There will always be good and bad, and you can't have one without the other. It's the only thing that makes sense to me. But you don't need spirituality, as long as you believe in yourself and in hope. Have you read any of the Dalai Lama's teachings? Those are so wonderful, and all from a philosophical aspect. Hope things get better dearest!

I was quite an athiest, until i turned 18 and spooked myself thinking that there must be a god and he was MAD at me. I quickly got over the idea of a christian god and started looking into buddhism and some new age spirituality and basically spent 6 years pondering things like the spark of life and whether reincarnation was possible. Last week I snapped trying to marry too many things together in my mind... science, logic, truth, morality... it all got too much in my head and I had a tiny moment of clarity... it doesn't matter, that what ifs and hows of the world. We don't know, we may never know, it doesn't change the way I ive so I should just live and not worry. Just live up to my own ideals.

Whew. All that because I read a philospohy book that was a bit too advanced for me.

aww. lol, I agree with you though. None of us will ever know what is out there until we're dead, and maybe not even then, so we should all just live our lives trying to be good and whatever will be, will be. Yay for philosophy though. At least you're trying to expand your understanding. So many people refuse to even attempt understanding concepts and beliefs different from their own. I may never reach enlightenment, but if I am open to learning then at least I can die knowing I tried.

hello! what a beautiful journal :) I can't remember how i stumbled across this, I think i was trawling through a penpal community, read your comment and decided to have a look since I've just got back from new zealand and ADORED it. Would you mind if I added you as a friend? I wish my journal was 1/8 as aesthetically pleasing as yours, but unfortunately i am a piece of poo when it comes to technology.

Kawaii means cute, right? I can speak a little japanese, i have a man who's a new zealander who's spent a few years in japan.

damn, sorry to ramble, hope to hear from you!

Hey! Welcome to my journal. I'm quite keen on my tidy looking journal, it's not all my doing, i used a layout community for most of it. I'm pleased you like NZ :) Yeah, kawaii means cute, darling or pet. It's usually used to describe cute japanese products, they have a real cuteness obsession over there and I am crazy over little matching letter sets and memos with poor english translations on them :D I will be adding you shortly!
