Every time I see, read or hear another of these stories I get this incredible happy feeling. It makes up for the being greeted with newspapers that say "bush supports constitutional amendment against gay marriage." It just makes me so very very happy--good people doing good things. My favorite is the flower-sending people story though.

i would seriously consider eloping to SF, if i had someone to elope with.

I know. And the best part of all of this is that it feels like all these people aren't eloping to make a stand but because they just want to be married. No stands just love. And, yes, I'm a hopeless romantic.
