there's a first time for everything

for the first time in my life, I filled out NCAA brackets. so far, I am 1-1.

just so you all (well, all of you that follow this stuff...which is, what?, 4 of you) can laugh at me, in the championship games, I have:
Mens: St. Joe's vs. Maryland
Womens: Villanova vs. BC

good thing I'm not a gambling person....

I'm 0 for 2 so far. It's an even better thing that I'm not a gambler!

well, I had to pick Texas Tech so as to make sure Mryn's boy would not hate me. But, I have St. Joe's beating them in the next round.

Ah. I went with randomness. Except for UVM.

wait, UVM is in it?

maybe you can answer something that's bugged me for awhile...why the hell is it UVM when the state abbrieviation is VT?

well, that and the star of my high school's girls team is going there next year (she's like the 8th ranked high school player in the country). But, this year I think the men's team is better than the women's (not that I am basing that on anything real).

I lost my 100% agreement last night when Seton Hall beat Arizona. I totally did not predict that! (Although it took me the longest time to figure out who "Hall" was when they kept flashing the scores.)

yeah, I missed that one too.

I'm pretty proud of myself, though. for not knowing anything, I got 11/16 for yesterday's games. (I also lost on Manhattan vs. FL, Michigan State vs. Nevada, Texas vs. Princeton, and DePaul vs. Dayton.)

I was 10/16. I would have had the same as you, if not for my slightly foolish attachment to UVM :)

of the 4 of today's games in progress at the moment, looks like I'll do okay on 3 of them. don't ask why (b/c I don't have an answer), but I picked south carolina to beat memphis.

my real question when it comes to these things....what happens if a team that you picked to win more than one game gets eliminated in the first round? like, I had Florida beating Manhattan and then wake forest, before losing to St. Joes. do I get to make a new pick for the manhattan Wake forest game?
