x :: The General Concerns
Name: Amber, Myaru (most often online)
Age: 20s
Stamped as: Lucia // Parents: Pent and Canas // Affinity: dark //
Do you mind being stamped for characters you've been stamped already? not Lucia, as that'd be kind of weird and out of character. XD;
Are you re-applying? If so, tell us the character you were matched with: nope
I'm looking for a:
[ ] boyfriend
[ ] girlfriend
[x] everything goes/doesn’t matter
Fire Emblem preference:
I prefer characters from FE6-10, because I know those games best. Nine or ten would be my strongest preferences.
:: The Lover
What do you look for in a significant other?
Well now, I'm picky. This person has to respect my choices and be willing to let me make them on my own, without interference; in a similar vein, s/he must be okay with long silences or periods of time during which I'm writing or reading, and be self-sufficient enough to deal with that. If there's a joint decision to be made, I expect to be consulted. And last, but definitely not least - loyalty. I'm not taking someone's wishy-washy crap. Certainly, I expect her/him to be a nice person with ethics somewhat like mine, but that would take a while to explain.
Three major turn-ons? long, silky hair; a nice baritone voice with range. :D Articulate speech, and wittiness is a bonus.
Three major turn-offs? an unkept appearance, gullibility (i.e. believing everything one hears or sees), close-mindedness.
What do you consider most important in a relationship?
Compromise and loyalty. The other person has to be willing to give a little on matters you can't agree on, and like I said, I'm not going to put up with someone with wandering eyes or attention, so to speak. This person should be able to stick around even when things get bad, because life will kick you in the ass as many times in a row as possible. I think these two things encourage trust, which is probably the most important thing in a relationship, hands down. If you're not comfortable with someone, it won't work.
What do you think should never happen in a relationship/a lover should never do?
Break trust. That can mean making a decision that influences both parties without talking it over, all the way up to adultery, which is something else I won't put up with. You'll get zero-tolerance from me.
:: The Choices (about my prospects, you mean?)
Brave or coward? If s/he is in mortal danger, I expect them to have the sense to get the hell out.
Pessimistic or optimistic? Realism. Pessimism is good, though. It won't drive me nuts.
Impulsive or cautious? cautious. I want someone who thinks before s/he speaks or acts.
Looks or brains? I have to choose? Give me both!
Money or personality? Personality, I guess? I want someone who will keep me engaged, so to speak.
Love or sex? love first. Everything else follows it.
Marriage or no? since I'm married, it would look strange for me to vote against, wouldn't it? It's the level of committment that counts, and a ring won't tie anyone down, anyway. It's just a symbol.
:: The Real You
Describe your personality:
Quiet, but underneath the silence I have strong opinions, which I'm only willing to budge on if you convince me you're right - I expect the spoken equivalent of an essay. (Note this is only if you get me talking, which is extremely unlikely unless I know who you are and have a reason to participate.) However, I do actually change if you succeed - I've modified my opinions before because another person helped me understand their angle better. I really dislike people in general, but once I get to know you and understand your motivations, I'll be more sympathetic - and, in fact, it's hard for friends to annoy or anger me, because I'm so willing to consider their point of view. I'm loyal and have a strict personal (read that: personal) moral code I measure my actions against.
What annoys you/makes you angry?
People. I just hate people - and talking. Especially people who talk to me when I'm trying to do something.
What is your biggest personality flaw?
My stubborn resistance to socializing, I guess. Hating people probably isn't a plus, either.
What really good trait could you bring to a relationship?
Understanding and loyalty. Similar interests and (hopefully?) intelligent conversation, as we wouldn't be talking without something in common. I also enjoy cooking. :D
:: The Fire Emblem Scenario
How would the two of you meet?
Oh, it would have to be at a library~. Or a university - some place of learning, or research, in which we run into each other because we're studying the same thing, or topics with something in common that would lead us to reach for the same book. And since we're both understanding people, we would agree to share the book, take it to a table, open it between us, and somehow get derailed into a discussion instead of working. Moving from scholarly discussion to a sarcastic conversation about idiot senators afterward would be a-ok. Bonus points if s/he escorts me on the carriage ride home.
Describe your ideal date:
Hmmm. A coffee shop - which would lead to a lot of talking and discussion, and possibly the enjoyment of poetry or music. I'm clearly a noble or rich merchant's daughter in this story, because my tastes are pretentious and artsy, but then, I suppose s/he does too. In any case, it can't be too fancy, because that doesn't allow for animated... discussions.
Your lover is the hero/heroine and has an unbelievable trial ahead of him/her and he/she is having doubts about himself/herself. What do you do?
I go along, and support my partner in every way possible, even if that means carrying the back pack or hitting someone over the head with an iron skillet. I'll always support my significant other. The one thing I probably wouldn't do is stay home, unless I happen to have zero combat skill and maybe one hit point. In that case, going along might cause more anxiety. Either way, I would do everything in my power to reassure them.
It's the final boss! And he/she has to defeat them! Where are you?
Right by her/his side, watching their back.
Reverse situation: You are the hero/heroine and you have an unbelievable trial ahead of you and you are starting to doubt yourself. What does your lover do?
Support me - verbally, or with magic/blade/etc. It's amazing what a little affirmation can do.
Reverse situation: It's the final boss! And you have to defeat them! Where is your lover?
Supporting me somehow - not necessarily on the battlefield, but nearby.
