3rd Sketch Fest Wrap-up

A giant thank you to everyone who participated in this - as prompters, or as artists. I am far too lazy to go round up everyone right now and do a headcount, but it looks like we beat our last sketch fest totals - there are 100 pieces on our wall right now, and I think a few artists still need to upload their work to it ( Read more... )

The wall was awesome. It was great to be able to see the sketches without having to continually expand and close threads.

It would be nice to see the title prompts next to the thumbnail on the wall. More detail than that would clutter the wall but of course would be fine with the full size image.

The main problem with the LJ page is the thread folding. There needs to be a balance between seeing what is going on and handling volume of text. If you do move it to the webpage could it be that Prompt, Claim & Sketch, stay as headings but that comments and discussions fold into threads? Not sure if I've worded that correctly but I think you'll know what I mean.

I REALLY like the wall of sketches! Great idea! I loved checking it ever so often throughout the day to watch it grow. :)

Thank you Ellen for all your work on this! I really enjoyed it and it was just when I needed to get me back into sketching.

I don't know why my sketches double posted when they were the same file names. Hopefully it wasn't too hard to fix.

I'll keep an eye out for Polls on what people want for improvements, if possible. But this is already quite good for just being the 3rd one. I definitely will work on future ones. :)

Thanks for another fun time! The wall was great, it was really nice to be able to see (and show the bf) all the sketches without having to wander through all the comments.

My preference for new stuff would be to beef out the sketch pages. Show the prompt on the page, allow comments about the sketch, and other such fun stuff, along with the picture.

Anyways, lots of fun!
